Open Position: Part-Time Math Instructor and Mentor 

(Afternoons/Evenings and/or Weekends)

Location: San Francisco and Oakland

You will teach at school campuses to small classes of 2-8 students on weekdays at 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. and/or 4:45 - 5:45 p.m, or between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends. Specific schedules may vary depending on your and students’ available days and times. 

We believe that the best teaching results from a marriage of quality curriculum, teaching best practices, genuine human connections, and individualized adaptation in response to students’ progress. You will not be limited by the curriculum we provide, as we encourage your knowledge and passion to shine through creativity in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Must have a solid background in mathematics. A bachelor's degree in math or a related field is preferred but we also consider exceptionally talented and mature undergraduate students majoring in math or a related field who have math competition backgrounds and teaching experiences.

  • A master's degree or higher in a STEM field is preferred.

  • Must have experience working with elementary and/or middle school students.

  • Available to teach in-person at our San Francisco locations during our high-demand hours of Monday-Friday 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. (PST/PDT), 4:40 - 5:40 p.m. (PST/PDT),  and/or Saturday-Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (PST/PDT).

  • Enjoy working and playing with children.

  • Familiarity with math competitions is preferred.
